Greece:

Digital Journal: Golden Dawn to form employment agency for Greeks. The far-right party Golden Dawn has decided to open an unemployment agency to combat growing unemployment amongst Greek nationals. ‘Xryshavgh announced the new measure is a non-profit charitable effort to support and show solidarity for Greek compatriots. Employers who wish to recruit Greeks in their businesses can contact the local organizations of Golden Dawn, which are now established in many towns. Golden Dawn further noted that much work is offered exclusively to illegal immigrants.’

Bosnia:

Times of India: Bosnia’s court clears two Serbs of war crimes. The war crimes court in Bosnia has acquitted two former police officers accused of having participated in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre. ‘The court said on Wednesday that prosecutors failed to prove Dragan Neskovic and Zoran Ilic committed crimes against humanity by rounding up Muslim Bosniak men for execution and then firing into the piles of bodies to make sure there were no survivors.’

Czech Republic:

Prague Daily Monitor: Far-right radicals clash in Kralupy. ‘A march that Czech radical nationalists held on the St Wenceslas holiday in Kralupy Friday resulted in a clash between them and their opponents, with the police fortunately succeeding in keeping the two camps separated by a stream. Several dozens of police intervened in the town centre where a clash broke out between 150 far-right radicals and about 300 of their opponents who attacked them.’

Russia:

Reuters: Four Russian policemen killed in Ingushetia ambush. ‘Suspected Islamist militants killed four Russian policemen in an ambush in the restive North Caucasus province of Ingushetia on Wednesday, Interfax news agency quoted a law-enforcement source as saying.’

Comment – Huffington Post: The New Nazis of Europe: Coming to America? ‘The resurgence of Nazi and neo-Nazi movements in Europe is attracting more attention in the United States. The New York Times featured the activities of the Golden Dawn, an explicitly neo-fascist, neo-Nazi political party that has become the fifth largest party in the Greek Parliament, with every prospect of getting bigger. Golden Dawn focuses on illegal immigration from Africa and Asia, in the context of brutal austerity measures that have affected the standard of living of almost everybody. It’s a toxic brew, and there’s more of it coming.’
