Hajo Boomgaarden is an Associate Professor for Political Communication at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research and the Department of Communication at the University of Amsterdam. He is a board member of the Centre for Politics and Communication and member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Public Opinion Research. For the academic year 2012/2013 he was awarded a fellowship at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
